👏 The Profile Guide is now available! At EXTRACTIS, we are proud to have coordinated this project dedicated to the #pulses sector in the Hauts-de-France region.

From farm to fork: 4 years of trials on pulses!

Why this guide ? Legumes such as peas, field beans, lentils and chickpeas offer a practical way to develop local protein supply chains. However, reliable data is needed to guide choices regarding varieties and food markets.

This is the focus of the 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐈𝐋 project, led by EXTRACTIS, which has monitored these crops throughout the value chain:

– agronomic assessment and protein content in the field,
– processing into concentrates and suitability for dry extraction,
– characterisation of organoleptic and techno-functional properties.

Results: concrete data to identify the varieties best suited to different food applications.

This guide brings together four years of results, developed in collaboration with the Hauts-de-France Chamber of Agriculture, the Hauts-de-France Promotion Committee, IMPROVE and Adrianor.

Agro-Transfert Ressources et Territoires contributed to structuring the approach, providing expertise on agricultural production dynamics, and synthesising and drafting the guide.
